Mark Elder - Songwriter, recording engineer, vocals, Bass guitar, guitar, keyboards, drums

  Mark Elder has been a musician and songwriter for over 45 years. Teaming up with Michael Castaneda in Spokane, WA. in 1971, Mark and Michael formed the band Bordersong. The band moved to Seattle in 1972 and in 1975 they recorded the album “Morning” which went national for a short time.

  Mark and Michael  went their own ways in 1978. From then Mark played in several cover bands over the years.

   In 1987 Mark married; had two great boys, and moved his family to Adrian, MI.  where he focused  on raising his children and writing songs. In 2005 Crystal Gayle recorded “One Little Star” one of the songs Mark co-wrote with Brian Krinbring.

   In 2006 Mark wrote, recorded  and produced an album about dealing with alcoholism called “Just For Today, A Journey In Recovery from Addiction” which he remixed rereleased  in 2017.

  Joining the band MidLyfe Crysis (2008), Mark wrote and engineered in his studio (Oldgyz Productions), two albums for the band. Mark relocated to NW Ohio where he resides today writing and recording his music as well as performing in the musical duo EZPickenz.
